Summer is over, and Grizzly Bear sent out the final of a series of free summer concerts in Williamsburg with their signature kaleidoscope-meets-shotgun melodies and harmonies. The opening band was Beach House, a buttery, silky sounding duo from Baltimore. The large crowd enjoyed the music under balmy weather and a spectacular backdrop of the East River and the Manhattan skyline. Below are photos that I took at the event:

Like kittens with string, it doesn’t take much to keep the kids entertained between bands. Their excitement is contagious and I have just as much fun photographing the audience as the bands at these events. It’s not as though the crowd was exclusively under 21, it’s just that all the adults were over by the beer tents. Below are a few pictures of the people that were closer to the stage:
